For those of you who know me well, you know I CAN'T bake! I try every Christmas and I Fail! So this year i decided to keep real basic and do things that don't require to much thought! We joined our friends the Johnson's and made sugar cookies and chocolate covered pretzels, they turned out very yummy and I was pleased with my self :) I decided the nest day to try some more and i did banana chocolate chip bread, more pretzels and chex mix! They all turned out good if I do say so my self. It was fun to have success this year and to share them all with the neighbors and friends!
We have been going to the zoo lights for 3 years now and our kids love it! It is fun to see the animals at night and the lights are really fun too! This year our friends Kendra and Ben joined us and we had a blast! It is a tradition I hope we continue for many years!

Our family LOVES the holidays! We try to do as much fun holiday activities as we can. So far this year we have gone to see the Christmas villages in Ogden and we went to Christmas street in Taylorsville, the light at the park in Layton, and just yesterday we went to see Santa at the mall and went to see the lights at the temple. We have had so much fun spending this time as a family and enjoying the holiday season! When we went to see Santa I was VERY disappointed because you weren't aloud to take your own pictures I think that is ridicules!! I want a picture of my kids with Santa but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get one! So I was bad and
pretended I didn't see the sign and I got two quick photos of them with Santa. I mean really who can afford to pay that kind of money for ONE picture that you are going to pull out once a year if that! So I don't feel guilty about taking my own I am happy I got 2 before the lady said "Miss you can't take your own photos" I just looked at her and said " Oh sorry I didn't know" :) The kids loved seing Santa Skyler told him that he wants a trampoline, and Abbie said she wants a tv for her room (Sky has one and now she thinkg she needs one) That night we went to the temple lights which is one of my favorite traditions I love the beautiful temple grounds and I know I am weird but I really enjoy bundling us all up and walking around in the freezing cold! We have a few more things that we want to go do but we are running out of time so we will see if we get around to it! Merry Christmas to you all!

I have to say I really never thought it would happen, but it has I was realesed from my calling as an Activity Day leader. I had this calling for just over 3 years and while it has been fun I was ready for a change. :) I truly love all the girls that I was able to teach and all the wonderful women I was able to serve with! I wish you all the best and hope I served this calling to its fullest potential.
Now for my new calling....... I have to first say when they asked me I thought WOW am I really the best person for this!?!? I then rememberd these are not just calling from the bishop but from our Father in heaven.
I have been called as the Relief Society Second Counselor. I am truly honored that I have been asked and trusted to have this calling and I am going to fullfill it to the best of my knowledge. I do how ever want to ask for all your prayers that I will be guided with the spirit and that I can do as the Lord would have me do! I have BIG shoes to fill, but I know with prayer I can fill them. Thanks! :)

We had the pleasure this year to host Thanksgiving at our house. You may think we are weird but we LOVE to host at our house. Nate and I both love to get our house ready and decorate the table settings. I wished I would have taken pictures but I forgot, but our tables were pretty fantastic if I do say so my self! We had Nate's Sister, her hubby, Nate's brother, and my sister and her kids over for the big feast. Nate parents where supposed to come but his dad got sick so they weren't able to join us ( you where missed) Nate made an AMAZING turkey that he worked so hard on. He brimmed it for 24 hours before cooking it and it made it so juicy and delicious! While I made the stuffing, potatoes, gravy, and green bean casserole. Jo Dawn (Nate's sister) made the jello pudding, and their family tradition dish oyster casserole. I have yet to have tasted this dish in the 8 years that Nate and I have been together LOL. I was grateful to be surrounded by family. I am so extremely happy my sister was able to come out and spend a few days out here with me, I love her and she is my best friend! A few things I am thankful for in no particular order:
1. My family (my immediate and extended)
2. Our health
3. The Lord and his unconditional love for me!
4. The gospel
5.My home, and neighbors that surround us!
6.My beautiful kids
7. Our friends
8. laughter
9. Trials (they always make you stronger)
10. A warm bed to sleep in.

I think the girls favorite time of the week was Frightmares though! They had only been to Lagoon once and it was last year with us! They were so excited to go again this year and we were So excited to take them! We decided to make a whole day of it, we usually only go for about 3-4 hours since we have passes but we needed to get their moneys worth! :) We got there when they opened at 11:00 and left around 9:00 . It was honestly one of the funnest times we have had at Lagoon, the girls were big enough for EVERY ride! They were such good sports and went on everything except Kylie didn't do The Rocket she was a little to nervous for it! These where the only two who dared to pose for a picture with these guys!!
For those of you who have never been to Lagoon at this time of year I totally recommend it, it is all decorated in Halloween stuff and at night the monsters and goblins come out! They also have a few haunted houses one is way to scary for kids, but Kylie went in one of the other ones with Nate and she wasn't scared. They have a little trick or treat house for the younger kids they can go in and people are dressed up and they trick or treat it is lots of fun for the kids!
I love having the girls come to stay they are such a big help. I love them to death and sometimes forget they aren't my kids. LOL
My sweetie heart waiting patiently while the big girls go on the Jet star.

Nate's brother Aaron and his wife Lindsey came to visit in the beginning of September and we decided to take a quick trip to Bear Lake. It was going to be for my birthday! So we took Lindsey's parents camper down and stayed for two night WITHOUT kids!!!!! We really enjoyed ourselves, just hanging out and worrying about kids. :) We went to the beach and just played the first day then we rented a boat on the second day and that was way fun! We went out and played for four hours on the boat and that day the weather wasn't very good, the water was FREEZING but that didn't stop us! :) Here are a few pics of our fun weekend!

The Fourth of July is my FAVORITE holiday! I love all the activities for it b.b.q's carnivals, and of course the fireworks! We go to the Clearfield parade every year since it is right by our house the kids love it! they trow TONS of candy. Then we go to the carnivals around the area and just have lots of fun! This year I had Abbie's hair done at the carnival they put glitter and ribbons all over in it it was really cute! Sky got his spray painted like a flag he thought he was pretty cool! :)
We started a tradition a few years ago to go to Chili's for dinner on the fourth we love their food it is cheap and delicious! Nothing compares to the Fire work show that Clearfield put on I am not kidding you we used to love Sugar house fireworks but since we have lived here we will NEVER go back to Sugar house. Clearfield fire works put all the others to shame!! I love fireworks and look forward to the fourth all year! Our good friends the Cook family meet up with us this year and it made it even more fun. I am grateful for the Country I live in and I love celebrating it every year!
