Thank you!

As most of you know Nate was laid off this week! It is only a winter lay off which means he can go back in the spring, but it has been very hard and we have done more praying now than ever! We want to thank all of you who have kept us in your prayers and thoughts. We know that things will work out and we are so grateful for the knowledge that we have of answered prayers and the comfort we have felt from our Heavenly Father. He must have other planes for us. I know that if we keep him close that we will be o.k and he will help us through this hard time in our lives. We all face trials and grow from them I for one am grateful for our trials so that we can take this time to step back from the world and focus on our relationship with are Father in Heaven and make our weaknesses our strengths. This to shall pass!
We love you all so much and thank you again for everything.

Keeping busy

The last week or so has been very eventful! We have been very busy, but we make sure we save time for fun! We love to play with our friend Levi. I watch him while his mom works, but his mom just had a baby so we have been trying to get together to play we love having Levi over he is Abbies age and they get along so well. I have to say sorry Tiana but we are excited for you to go back to work so we can have him more often and that cute little baby Jace!

We have also done a huge project. We did a 2,000 piece puzzle it took us well Nate 4 days I bummed out after about 3 hours. It was a beautiful piece though when he finished. I do have to say that I am very happy to have my table back.

Taco Night and New Shoes

We LOVE tacos we honestly have them once a week almost. I have came up with different ways to make them either with ground turkey or beef, hard shell soft shell or taco salads. I love taco night, but the mess not so much. Skyler is pretty good on eating his taco, but Abbie makes the BIGGEST mess.I always get her undressed for dinner on taco night. I try really hard to let her do it her self. Sometimes I have to help though. Here is a picture of Abbie after this weeks taco night!

As you all know form a older post I have been walking/jogging/running, on my new treadmill. Well I was having a very hard time because my feet would hurt so bad. So I finally broke down and bought new running shoes and they are so much more comfortable I cant believe the difference, not to mention they are dang cute! I have been running about 2-3 miles a day and my goal is to run in a small marathon next year. Maybe a 5 or 10 K. These new shoes should really help in the training process

Birthday fun!

As you all know I went to Vegas for my birthday, well then I came home and got to celebrate it with family too. So on Friday (my actual birthday) I went to lunch with my sisters and my mom we went to The Dodo it is a little restaurant down town at the Gateway it was very yummy! My sister Tracy gave me cash which is always so fun to receive, Amy watched my kids for 3 days while we were in Vegas and my cute little mom gave me some lotion for my feet because I always tell he how dry they are. After lunch my sisters and I went shopping which was fun, but would have been lots more fun if I were rich!! I cant believe how expensive it is there! I love spending time with my sisters they are my BEST friends! Thank you both for being so awesome!

That night I came home and Nate and Sky had made me a cake that they worked so hard on and I couldn't eat it. I felt really bad because they thought I could so I had a small taste then I let the kids dig into the rest. That was way more satisfying than any cake could ever taste!

Well it didn't end there because we had a party with Nate's family who always spoils me rotten. They came over on Sat we had a BBQ and then opened presents. Jo gave me money to get new running shoes which I needed very bad and I am so excited about. Brandon my very cute and single brother in law (Lady's if you know anyone let me know) gave me a Mario Cart game for our wii a total guy gift, but I LOVE it, we have been playing none stop. Then my sweet father and mother in law gave me a beautiful necklace that he made with one of his gems I forget the name of the gem, but it is a light purple and really pretty! Thank you to everyone I had such a great birthday! Love you all!

Vegas Baby!!!

I am spoiled rotten!! Every year For my birthday we go somewhere fun!!! I love it because I look forward to just being with Nate without the interruption of kids! Every year it gets better too. I didn't think we where doing anything this year because Nate hadn't said anything to me about it and we have been tight with money the last little while so I thought we would just do dinner or something low key! Well on Sunday night Nate told me to pack my bag because we where going to Vegas!!!! I was so excited I love Vegas! We had bee twice before to see Celine Dion and I think Vegas is so fun! So we packed I took the kids to my sisters and Nate and I drove to Vegas for a wonderful 3 days 2 nights! We had so much fun! We got a condo that was amazing and went to the wax museum, went on a Gondola ride in Paris, had wonderful dinners, went shopping and hung out at the pool! Nathan is so thought full and we always have so much fun together! I love our little get aways! Thank you to Amy for watching my kids! I always say that I have the best birthdays and I really think I do!

Cutest dad of the year award!

Since we went camping last week Skyler kept asking when we could go again, so on Mon. night Nate decided to set up our tent in the back yard and have a camp out with Sky. Then on Wed Skyler wanted to do it again so they invited Aaron Nate's brother who was in town form Arizona and they all camped out again. I think it was so sweet for Nate to take the time and sleep in the tent on his only 2 nights off for the week I mean come on how good does one sleep in a tent. I am so grateful for Nate and was a awesome dad he is and how much he loves our kids! Skyler and Nate are the best of friend and I hope it stays that way. I love you guys!! Love mom

oh what do you do on a rainy Labor Day?

Today when we woke up it was pouring rain and FREEZING COLD!!! I think we made the best of it though. Nate and started a puzzle a few days ago so we worked on that for a few hours, it is a 2,000 piece puzzle and we got a lot done today!
Then it started to warm up so we had Nate's family come over for a BBQ and it was so much fun It was still to we to hang out outside so we played the wii for 3 hours and had competitions for the high scores. The rain was nice but I am already ready for it to be warm again this just proves to me I am not ready for the Fall yet I really need a few more weeks of summer! Happy Labor day to you hard workers out there!
