Carving Pumpkins

On Tuesday we decided to carve our pumpkin's. Now those of you who know Nate knows that this isn't your normal pumpkin carving!!! He makes stencils for all of us and then spends 2 days yes people I said 2 days on his own pumpkin!!!! This year I decided to do the mummy and Sky picked Thomas the Train. He needed help of course, but he did all the gutting on it. So Nate wouldn't tell us what he was doing and when he revealed his pumpkin and couldn't help but laugh!! Nathan did Barack Obama and it really looks very good. It is always fun to carve pumpkins although it does make a big mess and my hand has a cramp after, but when you light them up and the kids get so excited it is well worth all of that.

PARTY TIME!

We had Abbie's birthday party this week end. Since it is so close to Halloween we decided to have a little Halloween party for her. All the kids dressed up in their costumes and came over, we had a few games and a pinata. The kids were all so cute in their little costumes and it was hilarious to watch the little ones hit the pinata. Abbie had so much fun and I think she thinks every time we put her in her costume that it is a celebration for her birthday. That night we had our trunk er treat and she kept saying "birfday birfday" We just let her think that the whole neighborhood was there for her. So after a long weekend of 3 Halloween parties my kids are high on all the sugar and I am ready to pull my hair out and Halloween hasn't even came and gone yet!

FRIGHT MARES!!!!!!

We took the opportunity to use our Lagoon season passes one more time this year and we went to fright mares. We really thought it was fun, there are haunted houses for kids and adults, and the whole park it decorated for Halloween! Since we had our kids this time we steered clear of the adult one because they had scary guys walking around out side by them and Sky was terrified. The one that they have for kids is more of a trick or treating house you walk around and trick or treat at all the different stations the kids of coarse LOVED this! We did do a few rides too, but it was really cold so we didn't do to many. We have loved having our season passes this year and think it was very much worth the money, we hope we can do it again next year!

Happy Birthday to my sweet little girl!

Abbie turned two on the 20th I cant believe it! It really seems like I just had her. She is such a sweet spirit with such a strong personality! We love having Abbie in our lives she makes us laugh every day she is a big burst of energy and keeps us very busy! We love you Abbie!

We celebrated her birthday on sat. with Nate's family we had dinner at their house and grandma made a yummy cake for her. They gave her a cabbage patch doll (If you know Abbie you know she LOVED IT) Then Sky got her a dress up set that is so cute! She also got shoes, clothes and some stuffed animals. She is very very spoiled!
On Mon. we took the kids to a pumpkin patch that was so much fun, there are all sorts of slides and fun activities for the kids to do and a huge corn maze that we did but about 15 min into I needed to go potty so bad so I made Nate look on the map and get us out of there FAST, (sometime being a woman has it down sides!) so it only took us about 30 min to do it! We went on the hay ride to the pumpkin patch that is incredible there where sooooooo many pumpkins. We all chose one and brought them home.

When we got home we had cake and presents. Nate and I had bought her, her present when we went to Vegas at the Schwartz store. It is this adorable stroller set that is pink with lace, it came with an umbrella and a bag that had a diaper, bottle, and all sorts of stuff in it! She lookes really cute playing with it! I think she had a good birthday. Her party is on sat. with her little friends! Sorry about the long post just want to have the memories for ourselves!

A sneak peek!

So I always say I want my kids to be something together for Halloween and I never come up with anything, but this year I came up with the funnest idea and I cant wait! They are going to be Pebbles and Bam Bam My great neighbor Tiana helped me make their costumes and they turned out so stinking cute!! Well as soon as Nate heard my idea of course the wheels in his head start to turn and he decides to make them a Flintstones car. He took scraps of stuff out of our garage and made an AMAZING car! All he bought was the fabric for $4. He always ends up doing something HUGE that turns out awesome! I love how creative he is! I will wait to post pics of the kids in their costumes, but here is a preview of the car!

Count your blessings!!!!

We have been so blessed this last week it has been incredible. We have grown and been strengthened so much! First but for most we made sure that though these hard times we have payed out tithing and we know that is why we have been so blessed! It started with our sweet neighbors calling us and asking us if we still needed a dryer and we did we hadn't had one for over 2 months and it was awful doing laundry with out one and they happened to have one that they were getting ride of! We were so excited and I couldn't wait to do all my laundry ( never thought I would say that!!) well a day latter I had a new neighbor that moved in a while ago call and ask if I was interested in watching her little boy during the week. For those of you who don't know I watch another families kids! I was anxious to start watch another to help with the income! I was thinking about going back to work part time and now I don't have to! Well the blessing didn't stop there! Nate has had this Trailer that he refurbished last summer and has been trying to sell FOREVER!! He posted it on k.s.l about 2 months ago and we had lots of calls at first but hadn't had one in awhile well a lady called form California and wanted to buy it. She said she didn't care that she hasn't seen it, it was exactly what she was looking for! So yes it FINALLY SOLD!

We were behind on tithing from earlier in the year so we took half that money to get caught up and with in a day COSTCO hired Nate back!! yes you heard me right Nate is working with Costco again!!! We love Costco and are very excited for him to be back it is only seasonal, but that can change come January! Last but not least my amazing sister Tracy new our budget was tight so she bought a huge amount of grocery's more than we have ever bought for our selves!! So I just want to say we are so grateful for all our blessing and for our testimonies on tithing I don't think I could even say I had one a few months ago but I can say I have one and it is very strong!!!! Also thank you so much to all of you who have helped and been there for us we love you all and appreciate all you have done! Sorry for such a sappy post I just needed to write how I was feeling!!!!
The trailer Nate refurbished!!!
Our table was over flowing!!!

A day with the witches

Yesterday we went to Salt lake because Skyler had a Dentist appt. at the office I used to work at. He had a cavity that needed to be filled. I know I know a four year old with a cavity not good news! I didn't have my first cavity until I was 20 years old! Well he did so good at the Dentist that we decided to go do something fun so we went to Gardner Village to see all the witches we go every year and the kids love it there are some really funny witch displays and some great picture opportunities. We were there for about an hour looking at the fun displays. It was a very good day just hanging out with the kids and having fun! I recommend Gardner Village for families who are looking for a fun, FREE, festive event! Here are some pics of what is there!

Crazy weekend!

This week end I had my sister Amy's sweet kids! The twins Kylie and Destiny who are six and baby Josiah who is two months old! Her and her hubby went to Vegas for their Anniversary I was happy to take the kids because they had not been away together since their honey moon three years ago. I am a firm believer of taking get aways as often as you can with your spouse to get reconnected Nate and I go on little one or two nighters about 2-3 times a year and I look forward to them so much!

I had them for 5 days. SO with my two kids I had 5 kids all weekend needless to say our house was a little crazy! It seemed like every time I went to cook dinner, change a baby bum, or anything that needed my attention there would be someone or something else that need my attention. I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off all weekend! I do have to say we did have fun though, we played out side when the weather would let us and we spent a lot of time playing the wii. Nate put up a tent in Sky's room and they had a camp out in there they thought is was cool!

The girls are a big help they love to help with Abbie which was very nice since I had the baby to tend to. Although Abbie LOVED baby Josiah she wanted to hold him every chance she had and was always trying to give him his bottle, binky, or blanket she is a little nother hen forsure! I love those kids so much they are so fun and not to mention so CUTE! I don't know what Amy does or how she does it, but they are so well behaved they listen and you rarely have to ask them more than once. I need to take lessons from her because my kids have me wrapped around their little fingers!

ZZZzzzz

I have had a really hard time getting Abbie to take her naps. It is a struggle every day. I let her cry it out for 30 min and if she doesn't fall asleep I let her come out. Most of the time she falls asleep, but those days that she doesn't are hard she is grumpy and needy. Well today was one of those days and I haven't been feeling good so I just let her skip her nap because I didn't want to deal with her. I also have my sisters 3 kids and kinda lost track of time. She did pretty good all day, then when I was preparing dinner she became very distressed and wanted to be held. I put her in her high chair and gave all the kids there dinner. The big kids ate and ran off to play and I was down stairs because there wasn't room at the table for me and when I came up this is what I found. This just goes to show she definitely still needs a nap!!

The Zoo

We were so excited that it was the first Thursday of the month because that means free zoo day for us! We get in for free with our Tracy Aviary pass, We decided to invite our friends Tiana, Levi, and baby Jace. The kids had so much fun Levi had never been to the Zoo so it was fun to watch his reaction to all the animals, He talks so well that he would say all there names. He is so stinkin' cute! We have been to the Zoo 3-4 times this year, but it never gets old, my kids love every time we go. All though it was a super fun day we were all very very tired and all the kids fell asleep on the drive home. I am so happy that they came with us because we really enjoy being with them they have become some of our nearest and dearest friends. Love you guys!

Movie Review

"The Woman"
My sisters, mom, neice, and I went to see this movie for my moms birthday and I have to say I really enjoyed it!! When it first started it seemed to take a while to catch my interest, but when it did I was way into it. It had a very cute storey line and all the woman where incredible in it. Meg Ryan is so beautiful I hope she starts doing more movies again. There is not a single male in the whole movie not even an extra. I would definitely recommend seeing this movie with other woman it isn't a guys show at all. So if you are having a lady's night out then go see this movie. Sorry I forgot my camera.
