OUR TRIP!

We had the best time in Disneyland!! Our trip started of on Wed. March 4th we left our house at 4:00am and hot the road for the Grand Canyon neither Nate or I had ever been so we decided to take a little detour and go. It was beautiful! We were only there for about 2 hours, but we saw tons of the canyon. It was really windy so we only did the small little hikes nothing major. As we were getting ready to leave the Canyon I asked this nice guy to take a family picture for us when he was done and was giving me my camera back I dropped it AHHHH are you freaking serious I dropped our camera before our vacation even started!! Well needless to say it was a goner it was broken and we where left with NO camera!! After the Grand Canyon we went to Nates brothers house (Aaron) We stayed there for 2 night and we honestly had so much fun! They have a small farm with 4 horses 2 dogs and 3 chickens. My kids loved every second of it. They have a horse that they have had for a while now named Jack Skyler has called him his horse for as long as I can remember so he was very excited to ride his Jack while we where there. They also got to feed the Chickens and go on little train rides. (a wagon hooked up to a lawn mower!) Thank you Aaron and Lindsey for showing us such a great time!

From there we headed to the magical land of Disney! The first day we went to the beach and playing in the freezing ocean. That is where we meet up with Amy and her family.

Abbie feel head first on the wet sand so I sat out with her most of the time. Nate and Sky made a sand castle and played hard.

We then went to Disney the next day and had the time of our lives! It was so fun and amazing to see my kids eyes when they saw it for the first time! Our first ride was Peter Pan! Skyler was able to ride everything except Indiana Jones? Abbie rode everything she was able to and it was surprisingly alot! We stayed that night for the Fantasmic show which was AWESOME!

The next day even though we were all exhausted and sore form the day before we went to California Adventure and spent the day there. Sky really like it because all the Toy Storey characters where there (his favorite) He also braves the Tower of Terror Hotel ride I was very proud of him! There was a parade there that day that was great.I think that California Adv. was fun in all but Disney is way better!

We then headed south the next day to do Sea World! I think it is AMAZING how incredible those animals are! We loved all the shows and had a great time! Well except for the whole fact that I lost my cell phone during the 4D sesame street show. I know what you are thinking broke the camera lost a phone you can say it I am a nerd! :)

On our last day we ventured back to Disney and had so much fun!! We did all our favorites over again. Sky's favorites are Splash Mountain, Space Mountain Abbie's was Winnie the Pooh Nate and mine were Splash Mountain Space Mountain Tower of Terror and Soaring of Cali.

We LOVED Disneyland and can't wait to go back! We had so much fun and would do it over and over again!

Last but not least on the way home we went to Las Vegas for 2 nights. We took the kids to see all the fun stuff like the fountains at the Balogio, the sirens at T.I, the Lions at the MGM, the M&M world, ect ect.. We tried to get to our room by 9:00 and drove every where we went so our kids wouldn't be exposed to all the Nastys out there. I have to say we really didn't see any because we stayed off the strip most of the time! We hung out by the pool and just relaxed we call it our vacation form our vacation.

All in all we had a great vacation, but are happy to be home!

SHE IS AMAZING!

I had yet another oppertunity to see the amazing Celine Dion in concert last night. This was my third time seeing her the other two where in Vagas and each show I have seen has been absolutly wonderful! I love her music and I love her performances you can feel how much she puts her whole heart into what she does!

So Nate bought me the tickets for christmas in 07 yea I sad 07, the concert was suppost to be in Nov. 08 but was cancelled untill yesterday. It was well worth the wait! Nate was going to go with me but at the last minute we decided to sell the tisket to my sister Tracy her and I went to dinner first and then went to the concert Tracy had never seen Celine in concert and she was very impressed, she kept saying "I never knew how good she was no wonder you love her!" I couldnt say anything I just smiled. I am in aw to how incredible Celine Dion is, She inspires me and her music gives me chills! Thank you Nathan for the great gift! I hope to one day see her again!

Happy Valentines Day!

We had a great Valentines day! We celebrated on Fri. the 13 we started the night off with a awesome pedicure that was so relaxing. It was Nate's first time getting one and I had to talk him into it, but when all was said and done he really enjoyed it. We then went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. We new it would be busy, but we never thought it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait. So while we waited we shopped around the mall. Dinner was great I think they have really yummy food and good service and of coarse amazing cheesecake! We took our cheesecake home and when we got there Nate surprised me with a video he had made for me on the computer. It made my eyes fill with tears and I just love him so much! I posted the video for all to see even though some pics are way embarrassing. I am so grateful for a whole day dedicated to showing those we love how much they mean to us. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful husband who shows me all the time how much he loves me! I love you Nate, thank you for the best gift and fun date!

Our First Date

Nate and I went on our first date on Jan. 26, 2002. This date was 7 years ago and that is when the love affair started not with eachother, but with the UTAH JAZZ!! We went to a Jazz game for our first date and we have gone to a game every year since. We always try to go around the 26th or at least with in a week or so. This year we went on Feb. 2. We also watch pretty much every game on T.V. We have a little joke going because we have NEVER been to game that the Jazz have won so we say it is because we are bad luck, Well Ladies and Gentlemen the curse is over they won last night!!! It was so fun we always have fun when we go, but it was way more fun to go and win! We were a little let down when we found out just before the game that Darin wasn't going to play since he does carry the whole team, but all in all it was a great game! I am so grateful that Nate and I went on that first date because he is the love of my life! I am looking forward to many many more Jazz games to come!

Super Star!

Sky loves to sing and preform he is just like his mom. We can not get him to stop singing Christmas songs and yesterday he discovered the guitar from guitar hero he thought it was pretty cool to "play" while singing! He kept singing this song over and over and over so I had to get it on video!

Having things put into Perspective!

I have been having so many deep thoughts the last few days and I cant get them off my mind, so I thought I would write them down were all can see! My sister Amy has helped me put things into perspective. First off I want to say that I love my Mom and Dad!

I have tried to break the cycle of negative thoughts I am a true believer of what you think is what will happen and if you have negative thoughts you will have a negative out come! As most of you know I grew up in a negative environment, not that I was abused or anything, but the atmosphere was not the best! I have had bitter feeling about this my whole life and I want to stop feeling this way. I remember when I first discovered that my mom was an alcoholic and not just the weird/funny mom that everyone thought. I was 13 and I became very angry with my mom. I was embarrassed and grew very distant from her! Growing up my mom would drink every single day and this wasn't just a drink it was until she could not function any more.
I never new how to deal with it and so I ignored it as best as I could and now that I am older and I have children I feel sad that I cant take my kids to see her because her house smells so bad of cigarettes and I would never trust her to babysit my kids. I would give anything to have a normal relationship with her and be able to visit her, call her on the phone after 5:00 with out wondering how drunk she will be. It makes me mad at my mom for the choices she makes every day to drink her alcohol and smoke even when the Dr. has told her she is dying because of it. They have told her that her organs are hardening and it is only a matter of time before it takes her life and not even this has made her stop with her addictions. Growing up with this was very hard also because I didn't have the other parent there to help us get through it my dad is an AMAZING man, but he was never home. I now realize that it was hard for him to face reality and was easier to be gone all the time. I was taught to be angry at life and that nothing was good enough, these thought have brought nothing but trial into my life and I have decided to STOP! I want to tell my parents I love them and I am not going to hold this anger anymore. I am grateful for all that they have done for me. I am also grateful for the relationship I have with my sisters, They are my BEST friends and I would never been able to get through all the hard times with out them!
